The PH8 GCash app question has two halves: the wallet you set up on your phone, and the cashier you may meet later. Signal is your verification level and limits, because they are on your side of the screen. Noise is any claim about what a cashier will accept.

GCash’s help centre dates these limits from 1 October 2026. Ignore the PHP 500,000 numbers that survive in three older GCash articles; the limits article is current.
Verification Without Guesswork
A single valid government ID is enough for GCash: a passport, UMID, SSS ID or National ID all work. It must be the physical card, since photocopies are not accepted apart from the National ID.

- Type in your citizenship, your birthday and the six-digit code.
- Scan the ID, then take the selfie scan.
- Check the details, submit, and watch for the SMS update.
Never share the code or OTP with a person claiming to help. Treat any chat that asks for it as noise.
What Changed for Gaming
Gaming top-ups and withdrawals are gone from Maya as well as GCash, a change dated 16 August 2025 and tied to BSP Memorandum M-2025-029. In GCash’s own words it is no gaming app, and players are told to settle things with gaming merchants themselves. A GCash button inside a casino cashier may therefore not behave as it once did, and no page outside the cashier can promise otherwise.
PH8’s lobby names GCash in a pop-up before login, while its cashier sits behind sign-in. The sensible order: read the cashier’s list after you sign in, read the minimum it prints, then decide.
Reading Limits Against a Plan
A plan only works if it fits inside the wallet. Basic profiles cap the balance at PHP 10,000 and monthly receipts at PHP 5,000; anything bigger simply stops. Hit a cap and those services freeze, thawing on the next month’s 1st or sooner with an upgrade.
